2021 HERALDED THE CREATION OF GLIO SUPPORT ASSOCIATION INC, CULMINATING IN OUR APPROVAL FOR THE 501(C)3 STATUS AS A FEDERALLY RECOGNIZED TAX EXEMPT NON PROFIT ORGANIZATION. THIS OPENS THE DOOR TO SO MANY OPPORTUNITIES TO EFFECT CHANGE IN THE BRAIN CANCER COMMUNITY WITH INCREASED AWARENESS FOR THE ILLNESS AND PROVIDING CARING AND MEANINGFUL SUPPORT TO THE PATIENTS, FAMILIES AND CAREGIVERS.
2022 BROUGHT POSITIVE GROWTH IN OUR CAMPAIGNS AND SOME NECESSARY CHANGES TO REFLECT OUR COMMITMENT TO ASSISTING THOSE IN NEED DURING THIS STRESSFUL TIME, SPECIFICALLY OUR ENTRANCEI NTO PROVIDING PREPARED FROZEN MEALS DELIVERED TO FAMILIES DURNG THIS VERY STRESSFUL TIME. THIS IS ONE FACET OF OUR MILLION LIGHTS PROGRAM. WE INVITE ALL THOSE WO ARE ABLE TO JOIN US AND BECOME A ONE IN A MILLION VLUNTEER OR SPONSOR OUR CAMPAIGN TO ASSIST US IN ROVIDING MUCH NEED SERVICES TO PATIENTS AND FAMLIES OF BRAN CANCER.
Launched Million Lights Program
Million Lights is the signature program of Glio Support Foundation. It was launched in August, 2021 and is poised to become a national and even international program of support for Brain Cancer patients, families and caregivers. This program fills a wide gap between diagnosis to Hospice care and extends to assist the families in grief recovery and healing.
We know this is the most difficult time in the journey of this illness. It is the time when day to day life demands a new normal that can be overwhelming to all of those affected by the illness.
Your donations help support the patient with assistance programs, training, education and the families and caregivers with everyday issues they battle through as this illness progresses. This is one of many benefits of Glio Support Association.
The costs associated with providing this assistance include meals and nutritional benefits, transportation for the patients, community awareness campaigns to increase the number of volunteers, training and the many other assistance and supplies needed to make this program a success.
Every volunteer is a treasure in this journey, providing the simplest acts of watching a patients home, walking and feeding their pets, assisting with laundry and housekeeping for a few hours all the way to patient care and assistance.
For those who are willing to attend, Hope Hospice has agreed to rain volunteers by Zoom quickly and to ask them to ask them to provide services in the areas the are interested in and comfortable with the commitment..

THE ART OF HEALING GRIEF AND STRESS
Art therapy is a way of self expression using Art Materials and the creative process to explore emotions, reduce anxiety, increase self-esteem and heal the soul.
Caregivers live with constant anxiety. It’s time to heal yourselves and rebuild your life by connecting with individuals and building a caring, healing community. We offer a variety of classes including drawing, painting, ceramics and sewing. Four different classes Classes are held online via Zoom each quarter. Donations are used to pay for materials, shipping and costs associated with live streaming the classes.
